SCHOOL FEE GRANTS

The Trust makes grants towards fees at boarding schools, both independent and state, and fees at independent day schools. In the year ended 31st March 2009, we supported 300 children with grants, totalling £824,824. These grants provide assistance for those children whose educational needs cannot be met within the state system or whose family circumstances necessitate a boarding education.
If, for instance, your child is experiencing significant social/family problems and struggling to survive in the state education system then financial support to attend school in the independent sector may be a lifeline.
The children we help are extremely vulnerable, and sometimes the only alternative to receiving a School Fee grant is being taken into public care.
