GRANT AID
"Thank you very much for the grant. This will have a major impact on my client's children's lives."
Social Worker
Families and individuals who approach the Trust for help are often in particularly difficult circumstances. The problems associated with living in poverty, having a child who is seriously ill, or being a child who is estranged from their family, or experiencing a range of other social problems, cannot be under-estimated.
"Thank you so much. Your organisation is vital to the support we give our clients."
Housing Trust Officer
Since its foundation in 1937, the Trust has kept pace with fundamental social changes that have taken place – such as the growth in the number of single parents – and also with the frequent changes in the way that the state meets the needs of children and families.
"Your grant will help a great deal and make my final year at Uni so much easier than the previous ones. I am completely overwhelmed and can't thank you enough."
University Student
The Trust's funds are regularly accessed by local authority social workers, health visitors, probation officers and a host of voluntary organisations providing frontline services to children and young people.
"You provide a lifeline for many families. Your help really makes a difference."
Probation Officer
Our ability to provide assistance is greatly enhanced by the partnerships we enjoy with other agencies, grant making trusts, companies and individuals, and in particular with BBC Children in Need, Barclays Capital and The Barbara and Vladimir Kahan Trust, all of whom share our concern to give help where it is most needed.
