The Trust is a member of the charity End Child Poverty and financially supports the campaign. The Trust’s Chief Executive is also a Trustee and Honorary Officer. The Trust is involved with End Child Poverty networks across the UK.

End Child Poverty’s goal is simple - to eradicate child poverty.

Its aims are clear:

  • Inform the public about the causes and effects of child poverty;
  • Forge a commitment between and across the public, private and voluntary sectors to end child poverty by 2020;
  • Promote the case for ending child poverty by 2020 with this and every future government.

It is staggering that in the 21st century, 3.8 million children – that is one in three children – live in poverty in the UK. They may not have three meals a day, lack adequate clothing, and miss out on school trips and out of school activities.

The campaign to End Child Poverty is working to eradicate child poverty in the UK. The charity is formed of children’s and other charities, social justice groups, faith-groups, trade unions and others concerned about the unacceptably high levels of child poverty in the UK. It is funded by its members, all of whom share a common vision of a poverty-free nation.
